As a leukemia survivor myself, I understand the harsh impact of the words, “you have cancer.” Life screeches to a halt, previous priorities are shredded, while hearts and hands reach out to the ones we love to search for comfort and support.
During treatment, your focus will be on physical recovery as your doctor prescribes surgery, chemo or radiation. At some point, you may find yourself in need of personal therapy to address the fear, loss, helplessness or heartbreak you are experiencing. Perhaps your cancer treatment has ended, and this has left you bewildered about what to do with your cancer story. Perhaps you wrestle with fear of recurrence. Perhaps you are wrestling with lingering feelings of anger or sadness. Or perhaps you are a family member of a cancer patient, struggling to provide caregiving while tending to self.
If you are ready to seek out emotional support, feel free to contact me.
